Requesting Validation of Volunteer Hours

 

Some SASO members need official documentation of their volunteer work with SASO for school requirements, National Honor Society, scholarships, college applications or other purposes.

 

Please review the hours recorded in the system before requesting any sign-off on volunteer hours. We use the recorded hours to validate the hours completed so this is a great time to review what's logged and log any missing events before asking for signoffs.

 

  

 1. Check Your Recorded Hours in the SASO System

 

You can view your own hours at any time.

 

  • Login to the SASO system
  • Click "View My Hours" in the toolbar
  • Click "View Hours"
  • Review the "Previously Reported Hours" section and filter by date range as needed

 

*Members are responsible for logging their volunteer time.*

 

 

2. Request Validation by Email

 

To request validation of your hours, please email SASOBoysmembership@gmail.com with the following information:

 

  • The total number of hours you need verified
  • The specific timeframe (example: 40 hours between September 2024 - March 2026)
  • The purpose (e.g., National Honor Society, school service requirement, etc.)
  • The date by which you need the reply (ideally several days turnaround please!)
  • If you require a specific form to be signed, please attached a photo or a scanned copy of the form.
  • The form should be completed with any information you are asking to be validated.
  • Clearly state whether an email reply is sufficient or if you need picture of a signed document

Subject: Request for Volunteer Hours Verification for [Your Full Name]

 

Dear SASO Membership Team,

 

I am applying to the National Honor Society and need verification of my volunteer hours with SASO. Please confirm that I have completed 30 volunteer hours since my freshman year (September 2023-present). An email reply confirming this information is sufficient. I would appreciate receiving the reply by March 15, 2026. (Or, please sign and date the attached form and return it to me via email)

3. Request Validation via a School System 

 

If your school uses a system to track or validate hours, please send the form to SASOBoysmembership@gmail.com so we can complete it for you.
